"The Peak Of Perfection?"
Date of Visit: Friday 04/09/15 - 6:30pm
Onion Bhaji's £2.10 (2 large-ish pieces)
Seekh Kebab £2.90
Chicken Dopiaza £4.80
Chicken Methi £5.50
Naan £1.50
Pilau Rice £1.80
The prices quoted include a 50p surcharge for breast meat.
The peak of perfection?… Sadly, No.
The starters were pretty good to be fair. The Onion Bhajis and Seekh Kebab were accompanied by a small amount of salad and mountains of part fried onions. Probably not quite 4 star but a rock solid 3/5 all day or in this case, all night long.
There was nothing wrong with the Chicken Methi nor the Chicken Dopiaza, both scoring 3/5. In fact, the dishes were very similar to those that we had last week at Saffron in Worksop. Another example of reasonable so-so curries catering for the masses.
The Pilau Rice and Naans were fine, though a little small - as were the portion sizes of the mains.
The Monday evening 2 for 1 offer is probably worth taking advantage of.
We recommend the Sheaf View to those who like real ale and / or continental beers - and we'd quaffed a few prior to our ascent of Everest… well, it is uphill from Heeley to Woodseats.
